Join the team as we build and start manufacturing in our new facility in Sherman, Texas where we will produce vertical-cavity surface-emitting lasers (VCSELs) used in Apple's iPhone camera to allow features such as Face ID, Animoji and Portrait mode selfies. What are VCSELs? It's an acronym that is pronounced "vixels" they are small semiconductor devices that emit light vertically and enable 3D sensing.

  • Serve as the primary technical resource as products transition through life-cycle prototype through volume production
  • During product development phase - work closely with customer, product development team and manufacturing to identify potential issues and insure a stable, high-quality product at manufacturing phase
  • Drive quality using best practices such as Lessons Learned, Risk Assessment, Design of experiments DOE, Design for test DFT, Design for Manufacturability DFM, and Corner Lot Assessment.
  • Provide detailed analyses for all design revisions, identify and communicate all performance gaps in a timely manner
  • Analyze products to ensure manufacturability and specification compliance, including setting appropriate screening limits and guard-bands for production test plans
  • Support test engineering activities to debug, validate, and release production test plans
  • During production phase - resolve customer issues in a timely manner by leading cross-functional teams to determine containment, root cause and corrective actions
  • Monitor fab for yield excursions to ensure quality and delivery goals are met provide material disposition support as needed
  • Create yield and cost reduction plans and drive them in the pursuit of continual improvement
